Today’s author interview is with Jeffrey L. Kohanek.

Tell us a little about your SPFBO Short.

Legend of Shadowmar is set in the world of Wizardoms, featuring a young, clever thief and a jaded warrior in pursuit of an enchanted relic hidden in legendary ruins. It’s a fun story, giving readers a glimpse of the world and characters in my Fate of Wizardoms series.

What has been your favorite part of SPFBO?

I love meeting all the new authors. Everyone is supportive despite the competitive nature of SPFBO.

What are you currently working on?

I am halfway finished writing the fourth book in my Fate of Wizardoms series, set to release in May. Wizardoms, Eye of Obscurance is the first book of the series and will be my SPFBO 2020 entry. I consider it old school epic fantasy re-imagined with faster, action-packed pacing.

Jeffrey L. Kohanek is an international bestselling author, best known for his Runes of Issalia and Wardens of Issalia epic fantasy series.

He grew up in rural Minnesota where comic books sparked his young imagination, inspiring fantasies of heroes with super-powers saving the day. His tastes later evolved to fantasy epics featuring unlikely heroes overcoming impossible odds to save worlds born from the writer’s imagination.
